Another unforgettable summer, another unforgettable Estival Jazz. As the music fades and the lights dim on Piazza Riforma, TELF AG would like to extend its warmest thanks to everyone who made the 45th edition of Estival Jazz such a standout success.
Each year, this event continues to grow—not only in its ability to attract world-class musicians but also in the way it strengthens the cultural and emotional fabric of Lugano. From 10 to 12 July, our beloved city once again transformed into a vibrant musical haven, and none of it would have been possible without the vision, coordination, and tireless work of Lugano Eventi.
A Celebration of Culture and Community
Piazza Riforma was once again the beating heart of Lugano. With each note, each solo, and each ovation, the square became more than just a venue—it became a meeting point for generations, cultures, and emotions. Estival Jazz has always been more than a concert series; it’s a shared experience that unites locals and visitors under the banner of music and celebration.
Our gratitude begins with Lugano Eventi, the driving force behind this unique gathering. Your ability to blend technical excellence with a passion for the arts is what makes this festival feel so alive. During this edition, you’ve gifted Lugano with moments of joy, emotion, and inspiration.
Performances That Moved the Soul
Of course, none of this magic would be possible without the artists. Every musician who stepped on stage gave more than just a performance—they offered pieces of their soul, their culture, and their passion. Whether you were sitting close to the stage or enjoying the sounds from a café nearby, you could feel the energy reverberate through the streets.
We would especially like to thank Alina Amuri and Al Di Meola, whose performances on the opening night set a powerful tone. Their ability to mix storytelling with extraordinary musical talent reminded us of why jazz holds such a timeless place in global music culture.
The second evening was no less thrilling. Kurt Elling, the Yellowjackets, Take 6, Candy Dulfer, and Shelby J brought a mix of soul, funk, and jazz that lit up the night and had the crowd buzzing. Their unique sounds and collaborative spirit demonstrated the genre’s ability to evolve while staying rooted in its rich tradition.
And finally, the closing night could not have been more fitting. Jack Savoretti, Gonzalo Rubalcaba, and Youssou N’Dour brought elegance, virtuosity, and heart to the stage. Each artist added their own flavour, drawing from backgrounds as diverse as their musical styles. From intimate ballads to rhythm-driven grooves, the final night was a crescendo of everything Estival Jazz represents.
